Potentials - Working With Us
Who We AreWhat We DoWorking With UsContact Us

"I liked Potentials' proposal. I felt we needed dramatic change and needed to come up with something appropriate to each situation."

We work closely with clients to develop rich and creative working relationships. Most relationships begin with an inquiry by phone, letter or e-mail.

Free Consultation
We provide one free initial consultation in which we meet with a leadership team from your congregation or organization, listen to your story, discuss the issues and opportunities, and discern possible ways forward. We will then draft a proposal with timelines and cost for you to consider.

Exploring Options
Often the way forward isn't immediately apparent and needs considerable discussion and discernment. One of the advantages of working with Potentials is that we are open to exploring many options with you, not just one response. We bring experience and expertise which will help you avoid the pitfalls of the quick fix.

Partners
We encourage our clients to explore partnerships with other organizations so that a project can achieve multiple objectives. Some of our projects have for example developed a research component.

Memberships and Partnerships
Individuals, congregations, theological seminaries, presbyteries, dioceses, national offices and other organizations are members and partners in our work. This partnership enables us

  • to keep our consulting fees affordable for most congregations (well below the rate charged by consultants doing similar work in corporate and not for profit sectors)
  • to engage in writing and research projects which will be of benefit to the wider church
  • to publish our newsletters and research pieces
  • to maintain an efficient office with up to date equipment
Members and partners receive our newsletters and other publications. Congregations receive a credit towards consulting fees. Individuals receive a tax receipt for charitable purposes.

Partners are encouraged to explore funding a particular project with Potentials.
